As with any Photo editing software you can expect to have support for all the most common image file types, the program interface is pretty easy to pick up and when you first install the software there is a complete guild on the dos and don't within the software, as well as the complete list of what you get if you choose to upgrade to the professional version which for the price gives some really good incentives in which to do so.
I found this to be a very easy piece of software to get into there are multiple tutorials in which you can follow and learn everything from the basics of photo editing to learning how to create multiple layered images of a high caliber.

I could not really find anything that lets this software down as a free program, the interface is nice and clean there is no Spyware that comes with the program and the tools are simple and easy to use.
The price for upgrading to photoplus x5 is a nominal fee of 49.99 and for what you are getting is really good value.
Overall this is a top notch program with good online support from serif should you have any issues which was surprising for a free piece of software this has got to be one of the best photo editing software I have seen in a long time.
