Hráč v této plošinovce ovládá černobílé polární zvířátko. Skoky, sbíráním bonusů a ničením nepřátel se pomalu prokousává mnoha připravenými levely, uspořádanými do několika epizod. Koho by obyčejný koncept dostatečně nezabavil, může zkusit bonusové hry, jež lze zvolit v hlavním menu. SuperTux se nejen zpracováním, cílem a pohyby velice podobá klasice nejen freeware scény Super Mario, a to zaručuje dobrou hratelnost a kupu zábavy. Nevýhodou by mohl být po čase se dostavující stereotyp a nepřílišná originalita.
