BearShare
BearShare is a file sharing program which is not only restricted to MP3s.

BearShare is a free Windows based file sharing program, built on the Gnutella technology, and allows the exchange of a wide range of files, and is not only restricted to the free exchange of MP3s.

BearShear also allows downloads and uploads to be interupted and resumed whenever required.

"BearShareV6" and "BearShareV7" are merely iMesh clones in BearShare skins and are merely sales devices for DRM-encoded music rentals from Discordia, A.K.A. Musiclab.LLC, a company which is not related to Vinnie Falco's Free Peers at all.

Free Peers was sued out of existence by the RIAA in the summer of 2005 and the assets were transferred to Musiclab as a result.

The original BearShare is still in wide usage and carries version numbers ranging from 4.7 to 5.2.5.6.
For the best performance and safety I advise users to stick to the versions ranging from 4.7.0.84 to 5.1.0.28.

Here I will just inform you on the legality of the product. Using Bearshare to download music from artists, and major movies is illegal. However, this does not stop from 99% of its users from doing it anyway. I know what I say here might not affect you, I'm just giving you the information on what is fact. The product is good for getting music and movies hower. It's in the top 3. (Always check for spyware and viruses after downloading anything)
