Comodo Firewall 5.5 works by checking any new piece of software that you install on your computer with their list of trusted files and applications. If the application is not found on the list comodo will alert you to the possibility that the software you are trying to install is unsafe and ask if you still want to proceed. Comodo Firewall also helps you connect to the internet more safely by monitoring all active connections. If anyone or any program wants to make a connection you will be alerted by a pop up asking if you want to allow it. This can be a little annoying at first but you can choose the option always allow this connection if you think the connection is safe. Another great thing about this application is the sandbox feature it allows you to run a program in the sandbox meaning that it will not effect the important data on the system allowing you to decide whether the program is safe enough to be properly installed.
In my opinion I would recommend Comodo Firewall 5.5 to anyone wanting to keep their computer virus free and safe from computer hackers. Its free, simple to use and one of the best firewalls available.
