Emsisoft Hijack-free now called Emsisoft Anti-Malware gives a detailed system analysis, allowing for the prevention or those unwanted Trojans, spyware, Adware and worms.
Emisisoft Anti-Malware is recommended for the more advanced windows users, due to the nature of the program giving detail information regarding running process,services, start up options, open ports.
The online analysis feature is very handy in the terms with a simple click of the mouse button you can see in your browser a comprehensive list of running processes and if there is any potential threat. This is done with a simple 4 colour system.
Green generally means that there has been no reported problems with this named process.
Yellow determines that there are known issue with the named process and should be looked at by the user to see if any potential problems exist within this process.
Red indicates the named process is a marked as hostile within the Emsisoft database and therefore should be attended to immediately.
White suggests that the named process has not been checked by Emsisoft and the user should search for additional details regarding the process.
In order for Anti-Malware to run properly an Internet connections is required in order to connect to the online database.
I found this software to be potentially dangerous to the inexperienced windows user, but a very good tool for those who have experience and understanding of the information it provides.
It ran well under Windows 7 Ultimate no conflicts and was stable in running even though the programs has no official support for windows 7.
Finally I feel caution should be taken when using this product, as stopping a running process on windows can make the system insecure, unstable or even unusable.
