Internet Explorer 8 for the 64 Bit Edition of Windows XP and Server 2003 is the latest version for these aging Operating Systems.
Internet Explorer 8 comes with three main features separating it from its predecessors: Activities, WebSlices and the revolutionary automatic crash recovery.
Activities:
Activities enables better communication and enhanced methods for website visitors to exchange information. Sending links, web pages, images, or snippets of text, Windows Live Maps, Facebook, Dictionary.com or other online services without copying and pasting. This feature is especially interesting for bloggers. Select a portion of text and IE8 will redirect to the user’s blog site, making the selection available for the editable fields.
WebSlices:
WebSlices allow users to separate custom parts of a web site on their own, or alternatively select one of the publisher's created WebSlices. IE8 can automatically discover WebSlices and add them to your other favorites.
Automatic crash recovery:
This recovery feature is similar to the recovery function of Mozilla's Firefox. IE8 will try to restore tabs and even data like written texts which were active when a crash occurred.
