Isobuster 2.8.5 makes recovering information from CD's and DVD's simple.

I had recently backup a lot of my photos and audio files on to a DVD, when I first checked the DVD worked fine, however when I came to use it to transfer some files back to my pc I found that the DVD appeared blank.

So having looked around for a while I decided to try Isobuster it claimed to be able to recover my files. I inserted the DVD and the Isobuster told me that the DVD had a title but no readable files, however it was possible for Isobuster to make an image of the DVD and recover the files.

I was sceptical I had tried other in the past to no avail. Isobuster was different the process to recover the files took approximately 4 hours to recover a full 4.7 gig DVD which had some 2000 files plus on .

Once completed there where 2 new files on my HD which where new images of the DVD with the recovered files on.

I was pleased with this, however even with them claiming the software can be used for free which in a sense was right I was required to purchased the full version in order to view the recovered files, which cost about £29.95 for a personal key or £49.95 for a profession key. I felt this was not a bad price as it had done exactly what I required from the software.
