LimeWire offers quick and easy file transfers all over world.

Information: LimeWire is under a court order dated October 26, 2010 to stop distributing the LimeWire software. A copy of the injunction can be found here.

LimeWire is a free filesharing tool allowing users all over the world to exchange files. It offers a quick and easy search function, lists the hits and with the click of the button, the files are on the PC. All file formats are available, not only MP3s. It is also possible to set specific search criteria, for example ‘Audio’, ‘Video’ or ‘Programs’.

LimeWire is available for almost all operating systems.

I love it.LimeWire excellent.Type a word and click enter and wait.Then a lot of useful results.Don't require search on 100+ web pages that you want the file.

Ease of use - just install, run, and search

a basically pretty good program with bad results

it might be that LimeWire has been a software to be proud of of having it. But since of late it is just a sorry image of itself from better times. Now LimeWire, beside been rather slow in downloading files from folders, it has become the triple A rated catapult for virus, other intentional spread maleware and most of all ugly child abuse material lurking below "normal" named items you would like to download without second thoughts. NOw LimeWire should receive just a triple 0 (zero) but "A"'s. It really is a shame what has become of the previous (good old days) LimeWire, which was fast, handy and a plus for any file sharer. So I just closed it down, going back to µTorrent P2P software sine that one as many others like BearShare, Bittorrent and the like don't have that negative attachment at least not in that massive amount. We all rather could do without viruses and CP, right?

I'll talk about the legality in a second. This program is one of the best and fastest file-sharing programs online. Of course if you want better security and better service I request you buy Limewire pro...although some people get it illegally by just downloading it off Limewire. (Ironic No) But this program is supposed to be used only for downloading legal content. Which means downloading songs by famous artists and movies would be illegal. But that doesn’t mean that 99% of Limewire users do it anyway. So for whatever reason your using Limewire it is fast and moderately safe. Just make sure to do a spyware check after you get anything off of it.
