NoScript is a small but effective program that helps you control Java-script elements within Firefox. It allows you to block or allow Java content in online material to protect your computer from malicious scripts.

NoScript makes your Firefox browser safe in a easy way.

Blocks any Javascript, Adobe Flash etc during surfing, thus efficiently increasing the security level of browsing. You might not think, but some pages run Javascript from 10-12 domains at the same time, but in order to function normally, only 1-3 would be needed. The videos / Java content appear as empty windows with the NoScript icon to the top left. The porgram is easy to handle, though it can be annoying sometimes.

Lots of pages won't work with all Java disabled, but for the frequently visited ones constant exclusion rules can be applied. There are major websites (e.g. Youtube) which identify the cause of the rendering problem wrong - the error massage is "Flash Player not installed", of course, after allowing youtube use Java, everything works fine.

This Firefox plugin is a must.
