SPYBOT SEARCH AND DETROY 1.6.2 is a free-ware security and privacy software. It will detect and remove spyware, malware, adware, diallers and more.
Spybot search and destroy has been one of the best and most popular spyware and adware removal programs for a long time. The reason is the constantly updated list of threats and the ability to remove these threats from your system. Spybot helps to stop people tracking your surfing behaviour which they can create a marketing profile from and then sell the information on to advertisement companies who will target you with relevant advertisements. Another good point about the software is the ability to schedule scans and the tool has quite a low usage of the systems resources.
What’s not so great about this security and privacy software is the real time protection which is not effective at stopping spyware installation and it also interferes with computer usage, by conflicting with some antivirus programs, so it is not an alternative for antivirus. Saying all that I would recommend this program for the scan features which will help fix already infected systems and for the advanced features where the more experienced user can fix the registry.
