The newest edition of MSN messenger, now called Windows Live Messenger is a good quality instant messaging software for your PC. You can chat with anyone from anywhere for free via web camera calls, pc to pc calling, text messaging to cell phones, and you can also now speak with your Yahoo Messenger friends.
Windows Live Messenger has a simple to use customizable interface allowing you to chat to friends with ease. Some of the feature include built in links to some popular websites including entertainment and news. Emoticons so you can make your chat more personal. You can set up file sharing folders with your friends or colleagues which automatically update when your signed in.
The best feature for me has to be the High Definition Video Chat which could not be easier to set up. If you don’t have a web-cam then there is also voice chat which has a good clear sound. The customization of this program can be done by changing the colours and by installing new themes to give it a more appropriate look for your System. You can now get updates from social websites like Facebook or Myspace directly into the messenger which saves you having to keep a browser open for that constant check of Facebook. There is a ton of free games available through the application to play on your own or play with your contacts, a favourite has to be Plants Vs Zombies.
The thing I don’t like about this messenger is the constant bombardment of advert banners but, Windows Live Messenger has a lot more to offer than other instant messengers so unless you want something a bit more simple, this is a pleasing messaging software to have.
