What makes Freemake video converter really good is the simplicity, unlike other video converters out there where you have to know the exact parameters you would like the video converted to, so it works on your device. Freemake comes pre-set with settings for most Apple devices, Android and even PSP which makes it easy for anyone to convert their videos. If needed you can set up your own parameters for conversion. I converted a 1.4 GB AVI file to Mp4 compatible with my android phone and it took around 15 minutes, which I find to be really fast compared to alternatives I have tried. Also you can use this program to create Blu ray and DVD discs with menus


The only not so great thing about this application is if you are taking video from a DVD the subtitles are not always detected and also this program can use a lot of the systems resources for conversion of video or audio.


An alternative to this program is Handbrake which has a lot more options of how the final product will come out and with more support for subtitles. Freemake video converter is so easy to use in comparison and if you just want to get your videos onto your hand-held device this program could not be any simpler.
