With Immunet you get an extra layer of protection with the added knowledge that when a new threat is found anywhere on the immunet network, you will instantly receive protection. So how does it work? Immunet works using the cloud technology.
With two engines in use the first being the ETHOS cloud engine which examines programs and files when first run and then send the data to the Immunet community to find if said program or file has any known issues. The second is a SPERO which is a lightweight engine that detects threat and updates online but is more of a traditional based offline protection.
With so many programs of this type appearing on the market it is sometimes difficult to decide if one is better or worse than the other. I see this has potential but as this is based on a community for the level of protection it offers, the more people you have in your community the higher the level of protection.
You can add people to your community via add People button this is done on the community page, you can choose to enter an email address of a single person or if you desire you can import your address book from your Google,Yahoo or Hotmail email accounts.
Overall with the level of protection it offers being based on the number of people you have in your community there is something to be desired with this program, however if you are able to build up your community to a substantial level then this program can be extremely potent.
